The 2025 NFL Draft is finally here, so it’s time to dive in to find our best bets. We’re going to focus on longshot props because the draft can be volatile, so you don’t want to risk too much of your bankroll on juiced plays.
While the first four picks look to be set in stone, with Cam Ward to the Tennessee Titans, Travis Hunter to the Cleveland Browns, Abdul Carter to the New York Giants, and Will Campbell to the New England Patriots, there are opportunities to find value from pick five-onward, since it’s likely to be unpredictable.
When a situation is unpredictable, you want to lean into uncertainty by finding your favorite longshot. With that in mind, let’s dive into our favorite 2025 NFL Draft props.
Shedeur Sanders selected in the top-5 (+500 at DraftKings)
I said it on this week’s Dynasty Underground podcast, I still think Shedeur Sanders goes in the top-5 as the second Quarterback taken. While I don’t agree with it, having Jaxson Dart as my QB2 in the class, I think we need to keep in mind that it’s smokescreen season and teams are dialed in on the pulse trying to find intel on teams around them, while also doing the dance with prospective trade partners. I think Sanders goes at #2 to the Browns who still have yet to address the position, assuming they’re moving on from Deshaun Watson. As an additional longshot, give me Jaxson Dart in the top 10 at +550. In the scenario, where the Browns take Shedeur Sanders, it becomes more likely the Saints will jump on Dart at pick 9, or a team like Carolina who has been rumored to want to move back, could find a willing dance partner to spite their division rival Saints.
Kansas City Chiefs: Exact Position of 1st Player Drafted - Running Back (+1200 at PointsBet)
The Chiefs are another team that needs a playmaker in the backfield. We saw Isiah Pacheco struggle in his return from injury, while Kareem Hunt is just a short-yardage specialist at this stage of his career. According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Chiefs had a virtual call with TreVeyon Henderson this past Tuesday. This indicates that KC is making RB a priority. This is another great value at PointsBet, as this is listed at (+500) at DraftKings. I’ll risk 0.25 units to win 3 units on this play.

Abdul Carter selected at Pick 4 (+1100 at DraftKings)
Odds are still in favour of 2 Quarterbacks going in the top-4. If that were to happen, Only Travis Hunter and Abdul Carter remain and likely top-4 picks. I’m taking a shot that one of the Browns or Giants will take a QB, and I think Travis Hunter is more likely to be the third man in than Carter barring another team trading up. Even if the Patriots were to trade out of the pick it’s likely a team would be coming up for Carter. As a hedge, I’d also put a sprinkle on Travis Hunter being selected at 4 (+4000) as one of these 2 is likely the odd man out of the top 3.
*Since writing this the Abdul Carter line has juiced to +1600 and the Travis Hunter line to +4500
Washington Commanders: Exact Position of 1st Player Drafted - Running Back (+900 at PointsBet)
The missing piece in the Commanders offense is an explosive running back. Brian Robinson and Austin Ekeler are capable runners, but they aren’t big-play threats. This is a stacked RB class with two studs that could fall to pick 29 in Omarion Hampton and TreVeyon Henderson. I like taking this prop at PointsBet because you’re getting great value at (+900). This prop is listed at (+650) at DraftKings. I’ll risk 0.25 units to win 2.25 units on this play.

Over 2.5 Running Backs taken in the 1st Round (+220 at DraftKings)
We've got 2 all but locked in with Ashton Jeanty linked to the Raiders and Omarion Hampton often mocked to the Broncos. We've got multiple teams that could use a RB after the Broncos pick at 20. We've seen running backs mocked to the Steelers at 21, Chargers at 22, Texans at 25, Commanders at 29, and Chiefs at 31. I like these odds with the likelihood a team pulls the trigger in fear of missing out on their guy in late round 2.

Buffalo Bills: Exact Position of 1st Player Drafted - Wide Receiver (+1200 at PointsBet)
The Bills have failed to address wide receiver in the last year. The jury is still out on Keon Coleman, while the Amari Cooper trade was a bust. The team brought in Josh Palmer this offseason, but he’s just a supporting player. The Bills would be wise to add help to Khalil Shakir and company. What if Tet McMillan falls, would the Bills trade up? There’s also a speedster in Matthew Golden and a stud in the slot in Emeka Egbuka. Don’t be surprised if the Bills make a move here. This is listed at (+700) at DraftKings. I’ll risk 0.25 units to win 3 units on this play.
